The European Union is set to mirror moves in the US to overhaul the economic regulatory oversight system, in a move that will see national regulators superceded by European supervisors.
"The proposals involve creating three pan-European watchdogs next year to ensure countries introduce new rules on supervision." Reports the London Telegraph.
"Under the proposals, there is to be a European Banking Authority in London, an Insurance Authority in Frankfurt, and a Securities Authority in Paris. All European leaders agreed today to their creation."
These three new bodies will have the authority to dictate and implement decisions on regulatory standards across the board in every member state.
Furthermore, the deal will see the creation of a European Systemic Risk Board, that would "monitor the build up of risks", issue recommendations for action and oversee their implementation.
The chairmanship of this new body will be elected by members of the general council of the European Central Bank.
This mirrors plans in the US to hand the private Federal Reserve powers to simply seize and take over any company it defines as a risk to the economy.
Of course, we shouldn't be surprised by the move given that, for the most part, the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank are run by the same private globalist banking corporations.
The London Telegraph's financial editor, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, explains how this move will see a massive amount of power shifted from national governments over to the EU, and effectively the European Central Bank.
"Britain cannot veto the proposals because EU single market laws are passed by qualified majority voting (QMV)." he writes.
"It would be a serious political matter if the EU proceeded against vehement objections from the British Government. Any outcome depends on whether Gordon Brown is willing to risk a showdown with Europe."
A senior French official has stated that the move to hand over vast swathes of power to the Federal Reserve in the US will spur European elites to do the same:
"If the Americans make strong commitments towards regulation and on derivatives and other sophisticated products, I believe they are going further than the Europeans. That will provide a boost to the most determined among the Europeans," the official said.
Once again, we are seeing nothing less than a green light for the complete and total takeover by a private banking cartel that will usurp the power of existing regulatory bodies, who are now being blamed for the financial crisis.

When I talk to people I get the feeling that they believe their lives belong to them and only to them; in part because as Americans they believe they are actually free people. Nothing could be further from the truth. Aside from this idea, that so many have no idea at all of what this country or their actual status in this place really is: People ought to know who is in charge of whether they live or die—shouldn't they?
Back in the stone-age when Americans were extremely naive there was a phrase that went something like this: 'America has a government of laws, not of men, where no man is above the law.' That, given the entirety of the twenty-first century, is something that is definitely no longer 'in vogue'.
America is a nation that unlike most other nations has chosen not to teach its people the real history of this country; because the true story is not a fit topic for polite discussion. For those interested, this video outlines the on-the-ground realities inside "Manifest Destiny" which set the tone for American Imperialism in this hemisphere; that has become the core for American international aggression around the world. Who we once were or might have been is behind us now. What we are now is what matters today; not just to us, but to the whole world that has been suffering beneath the colonial military-might of our Empirical aggressions, as never before. The Congress of the United States surrendered early on to the takeover, when they gave-away their constitutional obligation to the idea of the 'Commander-in-Chief' as dictator over every aspect of the American government, instead of simply being what the office of Commander-in-Chief really is, which is strictly limited to absolute control over the US military.
Bush apparently decided that the title meant that he was 'Commander-in-Chief over all branches of this government, and possibly he even thought he might well be the 'Commander-in-Chief of the World' which would account for his total disregard for any international laws or borders on the planet.
So in 2002, when the Congress chose to abdicate its constitutional duties to 'Advise and Consent' on presidential appointments; they became fully fledged partners in crime together with the dictator who created "signing statements" as a permanent way to get around new laws that he chose to ignore (a practice that Obama has chosen to continue with—despite its illegality). What these acts have led to are what has created the runaway corruption of the government, on all levels. One of the by-products of these crimes will be the death of this nation that fails to conform to the dictates of the US Constitution upon which the Republic was supposedly-founded.
Today, the Supreme Court re-confirmed that it is firmly inside the coup that seeks to end Constitutional protections under the 14th Amendment that promised equal protection for all Americans, under the Constitution of the United States : The Supreme Court is nothing more now than a rubber stamp for the totalitarian policies of the fascist police state that owns this country.
"Supreme Court Denies Post-Conviction DNA Testing: Prisoners attempting to challenge their convictions have been dealt a major setback by the Supreme Court. In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled Thursday that criminals do not have a constitutional right to DNA testing after their conviction. In the majority opinion, Chief Justice John Roberts said it is up to the states and Congress to decide who has a right to testing that might prove innocence long after conviction. In the dissenting opinion, John Paul Stevens wrote, "There is no reason to deny access to the evidence and there are many reasons to provide it, not least of which is a fundamental concern in ensuring that justice has been done." The Innocence Project says DNA testing has exonerated 240 people nationwide, at least seventeen of whom had been sentenced to die."
Since 911, the public has begun to finally see that the crimes of that day are the product of the inside-job that it was; a massive-crime that was created to furnish cover for the takedown of this Republic. This false-flag mass-murder was supposedly the reason for our presence, in Afghanistan (where we went to chase down Osama bin Laden): But the real reason we bombed Afghanistan back to the Stone Age was because of a Unocal pipeline that needed to pass through Afghanistan which was hostile to that effort. The attacks upon Afghanistan were planned and prepared for over a year before 911, which simply provided the excuse for our initial attacks on that country. The current president of that country, Ahmid Karzi, is a former official of Unocal, and everything that's happened since flows directly from the needs of the oil companies and their pipeline plans in the Middle-East. What happened to honor, to self-responsibility and to living the thoughts and words we use to describe the world we are forced to live in today?
The US , with Israel as its mouthpiece, is a rogue nation; a lawless but very public collection of criminals, that have become the greatest threat to peace in the world today. The fascinating thing is that this is truer now than it was under the treasons of Cheney-Bush; and still the public is not moved to question or resist this takeover of their lives and dreams, by this charade of creatures that have come to kill all of us that have rejected them!
We have reached the point in history where 'ideas' are no longer the stuff of knowledge or parts of the pathway that can lead humanity out of this dark-night-of-the-soul that we are racing to construct where once there was a country. No - we have allowed the Zionists and their New World Order to classify our thoughts and words into thought-crimes and possible prison-terms for any that maintain their right to think and speak freely in that marketplace of ideas that America once so proudly proclaimed, as an integral part of the heritage of the new nation. In Cheney-Bush-Obama's world it will soon become a crime to be a human being.
It matters very much "Who Owns Us" but if this farce continues unchecked; then we shall be thoroughly and completely reduced to the nothingness that we are embracing by our failure to commit to ending this nightmare, before it is too late.

The report by New York's Department of Investigation was released on Friday, exactly one year after the death of Esmin Green, a Jamaican immigrant.
Vienna Man Dies After Bid to Stop Verizon Van 19 Jun 2009 (Washington) A 79-year-old Vienna man who was fed up with his Verizon service died after trying to stop a technician's van from pulling out of his driveway. The man, identified by neighbors as William Cornelius, fell after grabbing the steering wheel of the van late Wednesday afternoon and died hours later at a hospital, police said.
Female grizzly and cub killed by train 09 Jun 2009 Another two of Alberta's grizzly bears have been killed. A mature female grizzly known as Bear #71 and one of her two cubs were hit and killed on the tracks operated by Canadian Pacific Railway on Saturday. The animals were being tracked by Parks Canada officials. Both the mother and her yearling male cub were struck and killed on the tracks about three kilometres east of Canmore.

Lewis was found guilty Wednesday of conspiracy, false writing, bribery of a public official and false claims.
US Senate Committee approves $1.5 billion in Pakistan aid 17 Jun 2009 The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday unanimously passed the Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act, (Kerry-Lugar Bill) authorising $1.5 billion annually to the key anti-terror ally for the next five years. The bipartisan measure will now have to pass the full chamber before the Senate and the House of Representative hold a conference to arrive at a reconciled version of the bill. The US House has already passed the bill. Iran election turmoil financed by CIA
Operating under an operation code named "Restore a Shah" the CIA has been quietly funneling tens of millions of dollars to activists throughout Iran in order to intentionally foment the tumultuous protests being seen in that country since their recent national election.
Iran has long been on the radar screen of U.S. Intelligence agencies after the Iranian Revolution toppled the former Shah of Iran who was useful to the U.S.
During that Revolution, Iranians laid siege to the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, occupying it and holding Embassy staff hostage for 444 days. One of the Iranian students who participated in that Embassy Siege was none other than Iran's current President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Those hostages were physically abused, deprived of food and water, prevented form getting medical attention. It was only after Ronald Reagan was elected U.S. President in 1980, that the Iranians realized they had to let the hostages go.
Sources in the Reagan White House made known to reporters at the time that before his inauguration, Reagan passed a message to Iran telling them that unless the American Hostages were freed before he was sworn-in as President, his first official act would be to order carpet bombing of Tehran by U.S. military strikes.
Unlike former President Jimmy Carter who seemed paralyzed and unable to use force to free his own citizens, Reagan suffered no such fear. Minutes prior to Reagan's inauguration, Iran released all the U.S. Hostages, bringing the crisis to an end.
When US Intelligence agencies realized who the Iranian President was, and that he was personally one of the henchmen who held Americans captive in the late 1970's it was decided to undertake any and every effort to destroy his Presidency. But with no formal relations with Iran since the Embassy crisis, it was difficult for US Intelligence operatives to enter Iran and to establish contacts.
During the second war with Iraq, many U.S. operatives were able to successfully cross into Iran and bring with them tons of U.S. cash. That began laying the foundations for the present day turmoil in Iran.
The goal of the CIA: Topple the Iranian government and install another government which will be more secular and friendly to the U.S.

Remember New Orleans? Who can forget?
Thousands of people - mostly children, elderly, the handicapped, and those who stayed behind
to look after them - were stranded for a week exposed to the elements for a week without
food, water, or medical care.
The cause?
The failure of federal levels built and maintained at the cost of billions of US tax payer dollars.
The party responsible - the US Army Corps of Engineers - did everything possible to shift blame
from itself including bribe an Engineering Society with $2 million in "awards" to write a technical review
favorable to itself.
We just discovered another tactic they used.
While thousands were stranded without help and then for years after, Corps employees masquerading
as "citizens" posted hundreds of posts to news blog in New Orleans and elsewhere making personal
attacks on Corps critics and blaming the victims for being "stupid" enough to trust the levees and live
near them.
If you live in the US, your tax dollars paid for this operation.
The Times-Picayune which was aware of the real identity of the people making these
attacks permitted them to go on and is now helping shield the Corps by refusing to turn
over its Internet logs.
I guess this is what they call a "government-private sector partnership.
