Kanshiram cult in dalit politics,fall of B.S.P. and the shattered hopes of the depressed classes!

Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar is known as the father of dalit politics in India,as he did establish frst dalit party known as Indian labor party(I.L.P.) in 1937 in preindependent India and in 1945 he organisedSchedule Caste Federation.In 1957 he dissolved S.C.F. and formed republican party of India (R.P.I.). After the demise of Babasaheb RPI did well nationwide and enhanced itself as a national party. But within 1970 R.P.I. broke into many local parties and many of its leaders got entry into Congress.Some of them joined RSS wagon.In Maharashtra a faction led by Ramdas Athawale joined Shivsena mahayuti.

At this point,Kanshiram came into the scenario and promised that he would complete Babasaheb's mission. First he introduced BAMCEF a government employees` organization and later he made DS4 and finally in 1984 he introduced BSP in quest of key to power and indulged almost all dalit activists in power politics which he hated and denounced.

All of his organizations were meant to literate and organize the bahujan samaj people on the most vital issues of depressed class rights and reservation.Ironically,just after the introduction of BSP he left BAMCEF and he started to give his full time to BSP.

And we all know what happened after that,how Bsp got into the national politics and how it became a power in Uttar Prades giving a hope to depress classes that they have a representative political party for bahujan hitay.Nevertheless, the hope was shattered in this (2014) Lok Sabha elections.

Why Bsp failed,the answer ranged within many reasons but if someone has to be blamed for this,it is not Mayawati,the present supremo of BSP who led the party to power in Uttar Pradesh,but the founder saheb Kanshiram. Because the creator committed some horrible mistakes for which the  entire set of depressed classes has to suffer now.

Although,his strategy  gave him temporary success ,but not a static one.

Babasaheb's slogan was fight,organize and educate thats the key of freedom from brahaminical system.

But kanshiram denied Ambedkar and said capturing the state power is only way of freedom. He was responsible for not forming any Central Executive Committee in BSP, which lead to dictatorial rule,which again violates Ambedkar who said when a movement turns person centric then the movement fails.

Exactly the same thing happened in BSP as people know BSP for Mayavati only.

BSP also failed to become depressed class party as it was centric to one particular caste and that is 'Chamar', which has a huge population in U.P. It`s good to have one major caste for a party which determines vote bank, but at the same time, it pronounces  disaster for a movement.

Dispatching himself from Bamcef was also a huge mistake because it  was  Bamcef which was the base and it certainly helped BSP as a catalyst for political movement and votebank because it had a nationwide cadrebased network in SC,ST, OBC and minorities for which Bamcef stood.It was the driving force which meant success for Kanshiram as well as Mayawati.

This went as far as that both BSP and Bamcef were bashing each others for failure and for taking bribe from Congress.

For a political party you do need a very strong press representative,but BSP had none. Although BSP could have empowered its activists for leadership  and had a chance to make decentralised and democratic party for the depressed.

But BSP just managed to publish one monthly magazine.The correct strategy is to organize everyone who is walking on the same path with the same objective.There were many publications which were concerned about dalit sentiments but BSP never used them. Instead of this, mainstream media succeeded to brand it  particular caste centric party.

Now everyone blames Mayavati that she failed but who established the ground it was him. He made it the way as he wanted to make it, and till his death he was controlling everything. And after his death Mayavati had nothing to do nor to bring changes in the  party.

Thus, only one option was left there for her and it was to give up anti Brahaminical aggressive stance , to go defensive. And in defense everything tore apart.

Mayawati was an apprentice of Kanshiram ,so she has the only strategy which was taught to her by Kanshiram.

Now when Sangh is in power and there is no dalit representation, none in power to speak about,then how may people think of defending themselves instead of just letting things go the way they are going.
