It's easy for an individual or an organization wanting to create social change to be overwhelmed by the diversity and complexity of issues that stare us in the face every single day. For the Indian economy to progress, all aspects of human development need to be addressed – from basic healthcare and education to livelihood and sanitation. Though there are over three million non governmental organizations (or NGOs) that are attempting to tackle these issues, there is a severe paucity of data on the number of NGOs working on a particular cause, on how many of these NGOs find a measure of success in what they do, what approaches are successful and how it would be possible to scale the solutions that have worked. It was this gap in data that prompted Infosys co-founder and founder of the Nadathur Group, N.S.
