Dear Friends,

People protesting against the proposed nuclear power station at Jaitapur in Maharashtra, organised under the Janahit Seva Samiti in Ratnagiri district and other local groups, are in Delhi to register their opposition to the project.

This is the first time that a large number (more than 100) of people from the area are visiting the Capital.

They will march from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar and hold a dharna there from 11 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, August 9, which is Nagasaki Day. (The details and the relevant background are contained in attachments to this mail.)

This is an important event. You are requested to have it covered with seriousness it deserves.
