It's been a really busy few weeks for us and we've got some great events coming up this month as well as lots of news to tell you about from elsewhere.
JUNE - FILM CLUB
SPECIAL EVENT - SOI COWBOY AND Q&A
Friday June 12th sees our next Film Club event. Not only are we see one of the best British films of last year - Thomas Clay's Soi Cowboy which was an Official Selection at Cannes - we've also organised a Q&A hosted by our very own Rebecca Jameson. POST CANNES NETWORKING PARTY AND SHORT FILM EVENING
A forthcoming date for your diaries - this is coming up on Friday 26th June. Our Pre-Cannes event was a great success. A lot of people made a lot of good contacts and saw some excellent short films. We filmed some great interviews which can be seen here. And we raised over £800 for WellChild charity! More details on this event will follow. Got a great a film you wish to screen? INTRODUCTION TO PINK EIGA
Those of you based in Bristol can enjoy these special events. Over three nights, the chance to watch three classic films from this rarely seen genre. Happening from 25th to 27th June at the Microcube cinema, the events are presented by Jasper Sharp from the website midnighteye and the author of Behind The Pink Curtain. SHORT FILMS AT CPR THIS MONTH!
There is another great short film event coming up this month at the Candid Projection Room. On Tuesday 16th, they're showcasing the best short films, animations, documentaries and music videos from the Canary Wharf Film Festival 2008.
