The Director of Education,                                                               22nd July, 2011 Govt. of NCT of  Delhi, Old Secretariat Building, Civil Lines, Delhi-110054.                                                  Dear Sir,  It is brought to your notice that Km. Nahid, D/o Shri Nijakat Hussain, R/o C-82, Gali No.4, Welcome, Jafrabad, Delhi has passed Class VII from Rashtriya Kanya Inter College, Hayat Nagar, Sambal, Moradabad (U.P.) while staying with her grant parents.  It is submitted that Km. Nahid's parents have been living in Delhi for the last more than 1 year.  Her father is a daily rated worker.  Km. Nahid decided to shift to Delhi and start living with her parents at Delhi.  She wanted to continue her  studies, therefore, she obtained a valid Transfer Certificate dated 11.07.2011 from Rashtriya Kanya Inter College.  She, thereafter, approached Zeenat Mahal Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Jafrabad, Delhi for admission in Class VIII but the Principal refused to grant her admission.  She has also visited some of the other Government schools nearby her residence but all these schools have also refused to grant her admission.   Thereafter she has approached the undersigned with a request letter dated 14.7.2011.  The undersigned had given her a letter dated 15.7.2011 addressed to the Dy. Director of Education, Govt. of  NCT of  Delhi with a request to help her in getting her admission in Class VIII in any Government School nearby her residence. On 15.07.2011 Km. Nahid along with her parents approached the office of the Deputy Director of Education, Govt. of  NCT of  Delhi but unfortunately, she was not allowed to meet the Deputy Director of Education and was told by the staff that since she does not belong to Delhi, she could not be granted admission in any Government Schools in Delhi.  In these circumstances, I am writing this letter to you for immediate intervention in the matter. It in a very serious matter. It is needless to say that Km. Nahid is entitled to admission in class VIII as a matter of right in terms of the provisions right of children to fee and Compulsory Act, 2009. Copies of the relevant documents are enclosed herewith for your ready reference.  It is therefore, requested that you may kindly intervene into this matter and do the needful so that Km. Nahid gets admission in Class VIII in any of the Government Schools nearby her residence, in the academic year 2011-12.
