Prachanda in New York, Receives a Grand Welcome
Kathmandu, Nov 7: Chairman of UCPN Maoist Prachanda who had departed for America on Saturday to seek support for the development of Lumbini has received a grand welcome at New York Airport from the personnels of Nepalese Embassy in New York and other Nepalese people.
Chairman Prachanda will visit Nepalese people residing there and Nepali Congress leader Ramsharan Mahat who is in New York on Monday, according his aide Prakash Dahal.
Similarly, Prachanda is scheduled to visit UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon. It is said that Prachanda will request him to chair as the Coordinator of Lumbini Development Council as declared earlier. The visit is scheduled for 4 pm local time on Tuesday.
