Mumbai: The task taken up by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) of creating awareness amongst Hindus towards Dharma is commendable and you must carry on the task with more vim and vigour. These were  the blessings and advice given by 'Hindu-rhuday Samrat' (King of the hearts of Hindus) Mr. Balasaheb Thackeray to the delegation of HJS. A delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called on Mr. Thackeray at his residence at 'Matoshree'. He was presented with a big photo frame of 'Sree Krushnarjuna' on the occasion. The delegation consisted of Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts and its office bearers Mr. Satish Sonar and Mrs. Varsha Thakar.

Mr. Vatkar informed Mr. Thackeray about the 600 or more Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas that have been held so far by HJS all over the country for creating awareness amongst Hindus towards their Dharma. He also said that the 'sabhas' were instrumental in creating 'Dharmajagruti' among people and they are getting ready to follow 'Dharmacharan'. Mr. Thackeray appreciated the task undertaken by HJS.

It was also brought to his notice that the Maharashtra Government was once again trying to attack Hindu Dharma by passing the anti-Superstition Act, Mr. Thackeray said that he would oppose it if the Government was trying to enforce restrictions on the religious matters of Hindus. He said, "I declare that such an Act should be opposed."

It was also informed to Mr. Thackeray that there were a number of incidents wherein Hindu temples and idols of Deities were damaged. These incidents were taking place in the State of Goa and HJS was protesting against it. As a result, the Congress Government in Goa was trying to impose a ban on various activities undertaken by HJS in Goa. In response to this the Shiv Sena Chief said, "Hindus should not get disheartened but relentlessly continue with their activities. I am with you. You carry on your work resolutely and courageously."
