MTT - Pakistan - Pakistan army soldiers take part in an exercise in Muzzafargarh near Multan, Pakistan

We were in a state of war. All around blazing particles of sand and pinching dust, unkind gushes of fire-like wind, no water, no trees; with a group of journalists I was in Khairpur Tamewali , the part of the Cholistan  desert , about 70 kilometers  from Bahawalpur , the great historical city of Pakistan. We were invited there by the Directorate of Inter Services Public Relations; a department of the Pakistan Army. The purpose behind this visit was to observe the military-exercise going on in this area for the last many weeks.  18th of April, 2010 was the most important day with reference to these exercises because the Prime minister of Pakistan, Excellency Yusaf Raza Gilani along with the Chief of The Army Staff General Kiyani and other dignitaries was there to appreciate the courage and determination of the soldiers busy in these exercises.

Respected Sir,

The UPA Govt. appointed the Ranganath Misra Commission which made several recommendations including caste based reservation for Christian minority. Several Christian leaders and Bishops have expressed great joy on this report. But will it real help Christians in India or it will provide ground for religious conversion.

Two grsssroot Christian organizations Poor Christian Liberation Movement (PCLM) and Forum-ICRA did some research and have produced a critique of the Ranganath Commission Report which suggests that the implementation of this report would not remove the discrimination with the Dalit Christians within the Church structure.
