Pregnant Woman and Fasting Query

Q1) Is it obligatory for a pregnant woman to fast in the month of Ramadan?

A1. It is not obligatory for pregnant women to fast during the month of Ramadan. But according to the Sharia, we permit pregnant women to observe their fasting by feeding people at this period. They are to feed people by given what is eatable for the whole day to the needs till the month ends.

Q2) If a pregnant women thinks her fasting may affect her as well as her baby's health in that case whether she can break the fast? If so, then does she require to fast again for this after her delivery?

A2. If after her delivery she is still breast feeding the child, the Sharia still permit her to continue feeding people until she get herself back.

Q3) If a pregnant woman thinks her fasting may affect her baby's health but not her health in that case she should continue obligatory fasting or discontinue?

A3. Allah does not want anything to inconvenience us in any way so He has not make it compulsory for pregnant women to observe fasting during the month of Ramadan until the woman finishes breastfeeding for the child but she should be feeding the needs people till the end of the month.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
